NB. This course is only open to already qualified professional practitioners of homeopathy and/or naturopathy.  This is a post-graduate course and is not a Bachelor or Diploma and this award does not qualify you as a professional homeopath.  Your existing homeopathic and/or naturopathic qualification is a prerequisite to enrol.

Dr Parimal Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy Post-Graduate Course

Duration of Course

Approx 300 guided learning hours in total.  

Including:

  • Approx 150 hours – live online learning
  • Approx 150 hours – self-directed learning

 

The course runs over 21 months (with 36 live online sessions over 21 months)

 

This course is relatively self-paced, with only two mandatory live online sessions per month: 

  • 8.00am to 12.30pm (4.5 hours) AEST / AEDST – Saturday
  • 8.00am to 12.30pm (4.5 hours) AEST / AEDST – Sunday

 (See timetable for details.  Online sessions include one half-hour break each day)

Attendance

100% attendance for all live online classes is essential for students to achieve high quality outcomes. There are well documented links between high attendance and student success. Students benefit from the exchange of knowledge and ideas that small group sessions provide, as well as the experience of collaborating and communicating with peers.

It is the student’s responsibility to attend all online lectures, and to carry out all assignments, case studies and examination work. 

To encourage maximum class attendance and for privacy reasons the classes are not recorded.  However, if for any legitimate reason a student is unable to attend, they may be provided with an audio (not video) recording.  In this case the student must provide a reasonable explanation for their absence and notify the trainer that they would like access to the audio recording.  (Please note that the audio recording may be from a previous cohort)

Minimum requirements and admissions criteria 

This course is only open to qualified homeopaths and naturopaths

 

Students should have:

  • Advanced Diploma of Homeopathy, 
  • or Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy (must include a component of homeopathy), 
  • or Bachelor of Health Science Naturopathy (must include a component of homeopathy), 
  • or equivalent diploma with substantial relevant working experience in homeopathy. 
  • Marginal cases will be dealt with at interview (may include Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning APEL and references)
  • Underlying these conditions is a belief that students must bring an aspiration to learn and a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience to the course.
  • Prior knowledge of anatomy & physiology and pathophysiology is required.
  • A good level of English and writing skills is required.
  • Students should hold membership with a relevant professional association and abide by their association’s code of conduct at all times.
  • Students should have current professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Places in the course are strictly limited and are on a “first come first served basis”.  All decisions are subject to agreement by the Course Facilitator.

Overall the course assessment will include:

  • Submission of an essay / assignment on Dr Parimal Banerji’s Philosophy of Advanced Homeopathy
  • Questions and answers on Anatomy & Physiology and Pathophysiology
  • Questions and answers on Dr Parimal Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy therapeutics, case management, jurisdictions and cautions & warnings
  • Completion of 12 case studies (3 cases studies for each of the 4  modules)
  • 100% attendance at all online classes
  • Student grading and decision report by the course assessor

CPD / CPE Course Approval 

CPD is the acronym for Continuing Professional Development / Education.  It is a process of tracking and documenting the skills, knowledge and experience gained beyond your formal training on a continual basis

Most associations recommend that you should participate in educational activities that develop professional performance throughout your working life.

 

As a qualified homoeopath / naturopath you have a professional responsibility to undertake CPD to:

  • continually update your skills, knowledge and experience
  • keep abreast of latest developments within both the homoeopathic / naturopathic and general health sectors
  • further enhance the professional standing of homoeopathy / naturopathy within the broader community.

 

ARoH (Australia)

Dr Parimal Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy Post-Graduate Course is approved by the Australian Register of Homeopaths (AroH).  AROH encourages its registrants to access both directed and self-directed learning to maintain and expand their professional knowledge. Registered members may qualify for CPD points only for the Homeopathy component of the of this course (up to a maximum of 20 points per year)

 

 

ATMS (Australia)

Registered members of the Australian Traditional Medicine Association (ATMS) may qualify for 1CPD point per 2 hours (up to a maximum of 20 points per year).  To qualify for full points, i.e. 1CPD point per hour, members must complete a 100-word learning summary to be eligible for full points.  If no learning summary is completed, members can only claim 1 point for every 2 hours of attendance (up to a maximum of 20 points per year)

 

Other Associations

Most professional associations require their members to complete a certain amount of CPD / CPE hours each year to ensure competency.

CPD or CPE (Continuing Professional Development / Education) supports you to enhance your practical skills and knowledge and to keep up to date with your profession. Depending on your association’s continuing education policy, you may be able to claim between 10 to 20 points per 20 hours of training.  Please check with your own professional association regarding their CPD policy.  

Educational Aims of the Course

  • To extend existing knowledge of homeopathy and the practical applications of specific homeopathic remedies.
  • To enhance case-taking skills and understand the client’s individual pattern of symptoms to enable accurate selection of the homeopathic remedy, potency and repetition of dose.
  • To explore, review and evaluate the human body in health and disease from an Advanced Homeopathy perspective.
  • To compare and contrast anatomy & physiology and pathophysiology from the allopathic and homeopathic viewpoints.
  • To explore the history and methods of homeopathy, enabling students to understand the differences and similarities between Classical Homeopathy and Dr Parimal Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy.
  • To explore, review and evaluate a range of wholistic treatments specifically related to practice, enabling students to apply a range of homeopathic therapeutics and some supplements and herbs to meet the individual needs of the client.
  • To explore, review and evaluate literature on contemporary issues in health and disease.

  • Approx 150 hours – direct learning online (including:  homeopathic therapeutics for specific conditions with specific symptoms, pathophysiology, case studies and class discussions)
